Tobermory

August 10, 2002 - Route: Brampton, MANS VOR, WIARTON VOR, Tobermory.

When returning to Brampton, I was greeted head-on by three WWI replica bi-planes in formation, joining mid-downwind from the WRONG side of the field. I was warned about such illegal antics in ground school.

Here is GTJ parked by the terminal building at Tobermory. The approach and landing was quite turbulent in cross wind. Although there was only one other aircraft in the area, the UNICOM frequency was quite busy. It seems the frequency is shared by just about every other small airport in the province!

A few aircraft were parked on the ramp. The sky looks clear, but there was actually a layer of brown pollution from 5000 to 6500 covering most of Southern Ontario.
The Three Amigos: Myself, Danny, and Adam outside the terminal.
