Here is my then wife Sara and daughter Stephanie sitting at the patio before the trip. They were not coming with me but had come to see us off.

My friend Kim was a little scared before the flight. She had never been in a small plane before.
Taking off at the Brampton airport. The distinctive orange coloured hangars makes finding the airport that much easier.

Here I am en-route, somewhere over Burlington.
My friend Dianne was having a great time, although quite "green" at navigation. She mistook Lake Erie for the sky!

Kim took a picture of herself during the flight. She seems a little less scared now.
Looking south, the leftmost waterway is the "new" Welland canal. The centre waterway is the Welland river, and the rightmost waterway is the "old" Welland Canal.

Here is a ship making its way through the canal.
On the return trip, we overflew the new Highway 407 in Burlington. It is North America's first (and only?) 100% electronic toll route. It's pretty expensive to travel unless your car is equiped with a transponder.
